Heading the Ayas valley, at an altitude of 1689 meters, there is the ancient village of Saint Jacques.

The typical building called Rascard house and the name with which the village is still called today remain a testimony: Saint Jacques-des-Allemands, gateway to the Monte Rosa glacier and to the wild valley of the Cime Bianche.

Hi, I'm Pietro and I'd be happy to have you in my house.
It's a Rascard-Granier that since 1682 dominates the village of Saint Jacques in the Ayas Valley, along the Alta Via n. 1 - Valle d'Aosta.
In the past it was an important crossroads for travelers and for Walser traders who followed the "Krämerthal" street to trade on one side of the Alps.
Testimonials of their passage include the typical "mushroom houses" made of stone and wood, like our Alta Via Rascard-Granier.
Today is a destination for true mountain lovers and sportsmen. This is the place to be for mountain bikers, hikers, trekkers alpinist and for many other lovers for outdoors activities!!!
In winter the Alta Via is near the Monterosa Ski area: true fun for 180 km of ski links, articulated on the three valleys of Ayas, Gressoney and Valsesia.
In front of the house there is a convenient parking or, if you prefer, from Saint Jacques there is a free shuttle service for both the summer season and the winter season. Just miss you!
In summer there are a lot of mountain trails for hikers and bikers or bikers....
In winter and in summer we can adjust contacts with professionals alpine guide and mtb guides to enjoy the valley!!!

The Rascard is a huge ancient building but very comfortable, like a modern house
You’ll have all the privacy you need.
